Portfolio > Yesterdayland.com
YesterdayLand is the next best thing to time travel. The site was created to spark peoples memories of their favorite Saturday morning past times. I was hired to redesign their logo and web site in the early stages of the project.
Logo Design
The logo for YesterdayLand had to be fun, cartoonish, and "Jetsons"-like, but still hold up to today's logos. I later found out that they made baseball hats with an embroidered version of the logo. They also made really nice business cards and stationary with this logo.
Web Site Design
Here is a screenshot of the original web site before I touched it. It was created by the two founders at the same time they were developing the content and trying to get the company off the ground. This is essentially the BEFORE picture:
Once I got the jist of what they were going after, the rest of the design was farely easy. Below are a couple of screenshots from an EARLY version of the web site. Since then, they've done many revisions and feature enhancements, but managed to keep my original color scheme and look-and-feel. The business is now managed by one of Danny Devito's production companies and has guest interviews from the likes of Ed McMahon, Sid and Marty Krofft, Quentin Tarantino, Barry Williams, etc. It's a great place to visit.
